Guest Preacher: Minister Jason Floyd

Jason Floyd was born in Los Angeles, California and raised in Amityville, New York. In Jr. High School, Jason’s Family returned to California and Jason accepted Christ at 14 years old at First Baptist Church of North Hollywood. Upon graduating high school in the valley, Jason attended Cal State Northridge and graduated with a major in Pan African Studies and a minor in Religious Studies. After college, Jason worked as a sound engineer and spent several years running an independent record label. In 2006, Jason answered the call to ministry and attended Fuller Theological Seminary where he received his Masters of Divinity with an emphasis in Worship, Theology, and the Arts. He has served over 15 years in youth ministry and founded the Remix Youth Academy arts program for youth at Westminster Presbyterian Church of Los Angeles. In addition to serving as Youth Coordinator at Westminster, Jason is also a grant writer for Hands for Hope LA, an after-school program in North Hollywood, and an Adjunct professor in the theater department at Santa Monica College. Jason and his wife Iman Floyd are happily married and living in the Leimert Park area of Los Angeles. Sharing the love of Jesus is the feature, focus and function of Jason’s ministry and he is always grateful for an opportunity to serve.
