Guest Speaker: Carlos Rodriguez

Carlos Rodriguez is a nonprofit leader and community organizer with over 15 years of experience building relational power to transform systems and renew democracy from the ground up. As Director of Organizing at LA Voice, he works to create a multifaith, multiracial movement that connects with over 70 congregations across Los Angeles to equip everyday people—especially immigrants, working families, and people of faith—to lead campaigns for housing justice, immigrant rights, economic justice and more.

Carlos believes deeply in the power of organizing not just to win policy change, but to reweave the social fabric and invite people back into public life. Drawing on traditions from Alinsky to Ella Baker to liberation theology, he has led teams, trained leaders, and built coalitions that move hearts, shift narratives, and hold institutions accountable.

Carlos holds a master’s in public and Nonprofit Management from NYU and a BA from Loyola Marymount. His work is grounded in love, strategy, and the belief that democracy must be practiced—not just protected.
