Through the season of Lent, we follow Jesus through the wilderness in preparation for the Resurrection. We fast, pray and work, not to stay where we are in life, but to get to the otherside.
Ash Wednesday offers the invitation to draw close to the Spirit and to be changed during the forty days of Lent. As a sculptor uses negative space to help us see beautiful forms, Lent is a time to subtract so that God may add God’s own wisdom to our outlook.
